A crane sets a folded module on screw pilings beside a two-level modular home. Its cut-away mechanical room shows seven zone dampers, the prefab MEP panel, a touchscreen with jog wheel, and the leak sensor that makes a motorized ball valve shut the water main.

Factory modules fold flat for the flatbed, then a crane sets each one on screw pilings and it unfolds in place. A local rules engine (MQTT, BACnet) runs seven HVAC zones with energy-recovery ventilation, socket-level energy sub-metering and a touchscreen with jog wheel in every room. When a leak sensor gets wet, a rule closes the motorized ball valve on the water main. Temperatures and timings shown are simulated.

An off-the-shelf drill rebuilt as a soil core sampler. Its speed controller moved out of the grip into a finned aluminium enclosure, where it can run a higher current limit; with the FOC and MTPA parameters tuned, peak torque rose 50% over stock. The firmware now holds a set speed while the load changes from stratum to stratum. Every other value here, from the curve shapes to the rpm, N·m and depths, is simulated (SIM) for illustration.
