How we engage

Small first step. No long commitment.

Most teams start with a readiness sprint, keep the roadmap, and decide from there.

Start here

Production readiness sprint

A short, fixed-scope review of your product by senior engineers — before you spend on tooling, certification or a production run.

  • Architecture and control-loop review
  • BOM cost, second sources and lead-time risks
  • DFM / DFA pass on mechanical and PCB
  • Certification plan and pre-compliance checklist
  • A written roadmap to production, with a quote for the build

fixed fee, quoted up front · the roadmap is yours either way

48-hour written teardown

Send us your schematic, BOM, CAD or a prototype video. Within two business days you get a written teardown: the five things most likely to cost you time or money on the way to production, and what we'd do about each.

fixed fee · written · no call needed

Projfixed scope

Project

A defined outcome — a board bring-up, a control loop, a DFM pass, a test fixture — quoted up front and delivered on a schedule.

Retmost common

Retainer

A reserved block of senior engineering hours each month. The shape most teams settle into once the first project lands.

CTOleadership

CTO on demand

Technical leadership without a full-time hire: architecture, vendor and CM selection, hiring, investor diligence.

FDEembedded

Forward-deployed engineer

An engineer working inside your team, in your tools and stand-ups, for a sprint or a season.

Questions

What does it cost?

It depends on scope and shape. The readiness sprint is a fixed fee quoted before you commit; projects are quoted up front; retainers are a monthly block of hours. Send a brief and we'll give you a number, not a range.

Do you work with teams outside New York?

Yes. We're based in New York and work remotely with teams anywhere; hardware ships to our bench when we need hands on it.

We already have engineers. Where do you fit?

Usually at the seams — controls between firmware and mechanics, the jump from dev kit to custom board, DFM before tooling, certification before launch.

How fast can you start?

Briefs get a written reply within one business day, and we'll tell you honestly when we can start.
